About [DISPLAYNAME]
Born in Zimbabwe, Barry moved to South Africa some 9 years ago. Having started off his working life in Mining, he changed to sales early on, starting off in the Motor Vehicle industry, and thereafter, for the next 14 years, he was involved in Sales & Marketing in the Personal Protective Equipment Industry.
In 1993 Barry was responsible for starting up a business in Zimbabwe, Sales Force, which became one of the leading suppliers in the Personal Protective industry in Zimbabwe. In 1997 he became the National Sales Manager for North Safety Products in Zimbabwe, the market leader in the industry, and held this position for 3 years until 2000 when he transferred to South Africa to take up the position of Group Sales & Marketing Manager for North Safety Products Africa. He held this position for 7 years, and worked throughout Africa. From 2004 to 2007 he was the Chairman of the South African Personal Protective Equipment Marketers Association.
In February 2007 he decided it was time to "go on his own", which he did. This started off the events that enabled him to join the SalesPartners Worldwide Team. He was part of the team that launched SalesPartners into South Africa in July 2007.
For the past two years Barry has worked with numerous Companies and Individuals helping them build successful businesses through the SalesPartners methodology.
In 2008 he was awarded the SalesPartners Global Franchisee of the year award.
Barry is currently the Regional Developer for the Capital East region, which he partners with Colin Sapsford. He is also a partner in SalesPartners Worldwide representing them in Africa.

About Colin Sapsford
Born and raised in Zimbabwe Colin moved to South Africa in 2001. Having started out working in the computer department of a major bank in 1984 Colin travelled to the UK in 1987 and worked in his own computer company as a contractor, firstly for Marks and Spencers and then for the British government (DSS) in their Area Computer Centres in Livingstone and Blackpool training their staff in the operation of their newly installed Mainframe Computers. In 1990 he returned to Zimbabwe and setup an independent vehicle repair workshop handling fleet maintenance for companies in the largest industrial area in Harare.
In 1993 he started an import and distribution company handling brands SUN Equipment and Snap-on Tools and distributed these brands in the market till 2001 building to a market share of over 70% before leaving due to the economic situation. In 1994 he also started a Wheel Service Centre to compliment his existing repair centre and sold this company to Bridgestone in 1997.
On arrival in South Africa he started out with SUN Equipment as Brand Manager and after 1 year left to start his own import and distribution company introducing 3 new brand names to the market. This company went from a 1 man operation to a team of 16 and a distribution network having a national footprint and regional coverage enjoying massive growth. It is currently the leader in technology and specialised training in the country.
It was while running this company that Colin Read the book SalesDogs and started to implement the lessons he had learned into his sales team with positive results. Having been a supporter of Blair Singer and his training programs for many years he was very excited when Sales Partners brought Blair to South Africa to run his first 2 Day Sales and Leadership Seminar. Colin attended the seminar and immediately identified with the SalesaPartners Mission joining the team in September 2007 as its first Franchisee. After meeting Barry Mitchell they decided to combine forces and together they own the Regional Development Franchise for Capital East.
